Janus House
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Treatment
Janus House is a co-ed residential program that has been providing
services in Bangor for fifteen years. At the core of our
philosophy is treating our clients and their families with courtesy,
dignity, and respect. Our services are offered in a friendly
atmosphere by highly skilled and sensitive staff. Community Care is
committed to excellence in service delivery and has been nationally
accredited by the Council on Accreditation. What will

Program Purpose Our purpose is to provide a safe,
healthy, and therapeutic environment for youth and their families as
they work to overcome challenges. Youth and families will
receive clinical support and services both in the program setting and
in their own home in the community. Additional

- Education/training of family in co-occurring conditions
- Evidenced based treatment
- Transportation assistance for family and youth to be together
- Collaboration with schools to promote educational goals
- Supportive in-home counseling
- Informational meetings and trainings for parents
- Support groups for parents of youth in the program
facilitated by a licensed clinician or substance abuse counselor
