Children's ACT Services
(Assertive Community Treatment)

The purpose of the Children's ACT team is to provide support to a child and their family when youth are returning home from hospital or residential says, or if youth are at risk of hospitalization or out of home placement.  Clients receive supports similar to those that they would receive in a psychiatric hospital unit, but in the comfort of their home and community.

The ACT Team Offers:

  • Psychiatric medication management with board certified child psychiatrist Dr. Corabell Arps
  • In-home individual and family therapy
  • Support worker to assist the family in meeting the needs of the child
  • On call 24/7 support

Eligibility:

  • Children up to the age of 20
  • Mental health diagnosis
  • History of psychiatric hospitalization or out of home placement, or who are at risk of out of home placement
  • MaineCare
